Note

TaskBuilder will ignore leading and trailing white space when processing properties.

If you would like spaces to be included, enclose the delimiter string in brackets; the

brackets will be ignored when the task is run. Having a delimiter string of three spac-

es between columns can be written as “[ ]” within this property. To include a tab as

part of a delimiter, use the string “{t}” within the property value.

 Header String (Value—String) – Creating a dataset in memory will require the column

header names. e Header String should contain those column names, delimited by

the same delimiter string used in the text le itself. Alternately, the Header String can

be placed in the rst line of the text le, and this property le blank. Not providing a

header string in either location will result in the rst line of data being interpreted as

the Header String with incorrect results.

 Dataset Name (Value—String) – e Dataset Name is the name given to the dataset

in memory. is string is optional, but important if the resulting XML le requires a

certain naming convention to be compatible with another step in the task.

 Datarow Name (Value—String) – e Datarow Name is the name given to each row

of data elements in the XML le. is string is optional, but important if the resulting

XML le requires a certain naming convention to be compatible with another step in

the task.

FTP-to-[File] Action

An FTP component attached to any le type (XML, text, HTML, PDF, Excel, 3 Card) will

download a le of that type from the given FTP site.

All actions from FTP to a le type have the following property:

 DestPath (Value—String) – e full le path on the FTP site where the le to down-

load is located. (e destination le path on the local machine is set on the le com-

ponent itself.)

[File]-to-FTP

Likewise, any le type can be uploaded to an FTP site using a similar operation. ese ac-

tions will copy the le to the given FTP location and can optionally delete the le locally at

the same time.

All actions from a le type to FTP have the following properties:

 DestPath (Value -- String) – e destination path on the FTP site to upload the le. If

there is already a le on the FTP site with this exact le name and path, that le will be
