Log
e Log section displays any information that the service has written to the log. In order to
give you feedback as to the status of the service, the service log displays any log messages
recorded since the last time it began executing. e author of the service will determine
what information to write to the log. ere will always be a Starting Service entry, but the
level of detail available may vary from service to service.
Errors
e Errors section displays any errors that the service has written to the error log since the
last time it began executing. e author of the service will determine what information to
write to the log. Any errors are potentially serious and should be investigated.
Properties
e Properties section lets you set information needed from you in order for the service to
operate properly. e information needed will vary from service to service, so each service
will show a dierent list of settings on this page. Each property will usually have a descrip-
tion string on the right side of the text eld that denes what the property is, as shown in
Figure 2.19.

Aer setting the property values, click the Save button.
Notifications
Click on the Notications tab to access the Notications section (see Figure 2.20). is
section allows you to select other users to receive a report via email whenever the service
is completed.
Under the Notify Users section, you can see the users who have already been set up to be
notied, with their username, name, and if they are to be notied in case of a successful
execution of the service, a failed execution, or both. ere is also a link to remove the user
